For the last international lecture of the year, Natalie Haynes will give a talk. She is mostly known for her variety of novels inspired by Greek mythology. Among others, she has written The Children of Jocasta and A Thousand Ships. The latter is a retelling of the Trojan War but this time from the perspective of the women. It was shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction in 2020. Recently, Natalie Haynes also published a non-fiction work: Pandora’s Jar: Women in the Greek Myth. Aside from being a published author, she is also a broadcaster at the BBC Radio 4 and she regularly writes for the Guardian.
