Dear everyone,

Today is the start of the KEI-week! During this introduction week, Flanor will have lots of fun activities so that students can get to know the association. As we want to promote integration between new and older members, all Flanor members are welcome at the activities this week (with a few exceptions). This blog post will give an overview of all the activities the board has planned.

Monday 15 August

Information market

10:00 - 17:00, Vismarkt

Flanor has a stand full of books, registration forms, and nice decorations to make sure KEI-participants will stop by for a little chat and maybe decide to become a member. Feel free to come and say hello!

Lecture Tommy Wieringa

20:00 - 22:00, Forum Groningen

Author Tommy Wieringa will join us to give a lecture!

Please note that there is a limited amount of seats for this lecture. If you did not sign up through our website, at the stand at the information market, or through Forum, you cannot come to this activity.

Tuesday 16 August

Books in the park

14:00 - 17:00, Martinikerkhof

Come join us outside for a nice chat or for reading a book. You can ask questions about Flanor and get to know new and older members. You can stop by whenever you want, it will be a relaxed and low-key event.

Please note. If the weather is bad, we will move to Forum Groningen. This will be communicated through our social media platforms and several WhatsApp groups.

KEI-parade

20:00 - 21:30, city centre

If you are interested in Flanor: spot us at the parade! If you are lucky, you can even see someone wearing a dinosaur costume(;

To our fellow Flanorians: you are welcome to join us at the parade! The more the merrier(: Make sure to text one of the board members so we know you will join us.

Wednesday 17 August

Board games afternoon

14:00 - 16:00, Literair Café De Graanrepubliek (Gedempte Kattendiep 11)

The Graanrepubliek has lots of nice beverages and a nice collection of board games. Come join us for an afternoon of fun with board games(:

More to Explore

19:00 - 22:00, Harmony building (Oude Kijk in Het Jatstraat 26)

Flanor will be hosting a Dungeons and Dragons session. Our DM is very excited, make sure you don’t miss this!

Please note that this event is only for KEI-participants and not for Flanor members due to a limited amount of seats at this event.

Thursday 18 August

Meet the reading group

14:00 - 17:00, Literair Café De Graanrepubliek (Gedempte Kattendiep 11)

Flanor has many reading groups and you can join them all. Are you curious to see which groups are active and what they are reading? Join us at the Graanrepubliek to find it out!

Pubquiz

20:30 - 23:00, Literair Café De Graanrepubliek (Gedempte Kattendiep 11)

If you want to find out how many facts your brain has somehow managed to store about random, sometimes very specific topics, look no further! This pubquiz is the ideal moment to test your knowledge.

Friday 19 August

Literary city walk & picnic

12:00 - 14:00, city centre. We will meet up at the Academy building (Broerstraat 5)

We have prepared a walk through the city centre in which we will tell random, fun, and/or interesting facts about everything related to literature. Afterwards, we will gather at Martinikerkhof for a free picnic.

Drinks and Q&A

20:30 - 23:00, Literair Café De Graanrepubliek (Gedempte Kattendiep 11)

Join us for an evening full of (non-)alcoholic beverages and chatter. This is a perfect moment to get to know Flanor members and, if you still have them, ask questions about Flanor as an association. We hope to see you all!
