Literaire Studentenvereniging Flanor

Hoewel de KEI-cie de afgelopen maanden een winterslaap heeft gehouden, wordt deze commissie ook weer wakker wanneer de lente begint (wat gelukkig bijna is). We zullen dan weer bezig zijn met het plannen van een geweldige KEI-week vol met leuke activiteiten. Misschien ben je zelf wel bij Flanor beland via de KEI-week, want het is de perfecte week om potentiële leden voor te stellen aan onze mooie literaire vereniging. 

Gedurende de KEI-week zullen er twee activiteiten per dag plaatsvinden. De meeste hiervan staan al vast, zoals de info-markt, de KEI-parade, meet the reading groups, en de lezing, maar we gaan dit jaar ook nieuwe activiteiten organiseren! Tijdens de activiteiten heb je veel contact met de KEI-lopers. Je vertelt ze over de vereniging, onze leesgroepen en socials, en beantwoordt de vragen die ze hebben. Het is een hele leuke manier om toekomstige nieuwe leden te leren kennen en ervoor te zorgen dat ze zich op hun gemak voelen bij Flanor. 

De komende maanden zal de commissie weer regelmatig bijeenkomen zodat vrijwel alles vooraf aan de zomer al klaar is. Mocht het je leuk lijken om mee te helpen met de organisatie van de KEI-week, kan je contact opnemen met de voorzitter, Luca van der Veldt, of een van de andere commissieleden. De KEI-cie was de eerste commissie waar ik bij ging. Ik had op dat punt geen commissie ervaring en had ook nog nooit een KEI-week meegemaakt. Het bleek een super toegankelijke en leuke commissie te zijn, dus maak je daar absoluut geen zorgen over.

Though the KEI-cie has been hibernating for the last few months, this committee will also wake up again when spring begins (which, luckily, will be soon). We will then recommence with planning an amazing KEI-week full of fun activities. Maybe you found Flanor through the KEI-week, because it is the perfect week to introduce potential members to our beautiful literary association. 

During the KEI-week, two activities per day will take place. Most of these are already set, like the info market, the KEI-parade, meet the reading groups, and the lecture, but this year we will also be organising brand-new activities! During these activities you will have a lot of contact with the KEI-participants. You will tell them about the association, our reading and social groups, and answer any questions that they have. It is a fun way to get to know future new members and to make sure they feel comfortable within Flanor. 

In the next few months, the committee will regularly meet up to ensure almost everything is before the summer. If you think this all sounds fun and would like to help organise the KEI-week, you can contact the chair, Luca van der Veldt, or one of the other committee members. The KEI-cie was the first committee I joined. At that point, I had no prior experience with committees and had never experienced a KEI-week either. It turned out to be a super accessible and fun committee, so don't worry about that at all!
